Since 1924, the American Heart Association has been the pioneering force behind ground-breaking research, education programs, and training that has saved millions of people world wide. Every person deserves the opportunity for a full, healthy life. As champions for health equity, by 2024, the American Heart Association will advance cardiovascular health for all, including identifying and removing barriers to health care access and quality. Locally, the Heart of Columbus campaign brings the work of the American Heart Association to life, leading efforts to tackle issues such as high blood pressure, nutrition security, mental well-being, tobacco and vaping, learning hands-only CPR, and more. Most heart disease and stroke deaths are preventable, and the American Heart Association will continue to focus on mission-critical work, putting a spotlight on key issues to drive healthier outcomes for all.
